The Facts & Figures 2025/26 offer compelling evidence of how the Weizmann Institute continues to strengthen its position at the forefront of science, despite significant challenges.
With an annual budget of NIS 2.4 billion — 13% of which comes from philanthropic support — the Institute makes targeted investments in talent, research and pioneering developments.
41% of expenditure is allocated to staff, 36% to scientific infrastructure and 19% to the continued development of the campus and its research programmes. Its exceptional performance is reflected in 276 research groups, 1,801 students and postdoctoral researchers, and more than 1,400 scientific publications each year.
The figures underline a clear message: philanthropy remains a vital driving force in safeguarding scientific freedom, accelerating innovation and developing solutions to the great challenges of our time.
